Since our founding in 1974, we have been navigated by “International Medical Intelligence,” which is the origin of our company name and have been working with the management philosophy of “For You”.
IMI initiated Japan’s first field maintenance services with therapeutic medical devices in 1979 and has not only sold medical devices, but also has striven to provide safe and effective services to medical institutions through maintaining quality and performance of medical devices by our regular maintenance.
In the midst of huge environment changes surrounding hospital, such as the development of medical technology/devices and medical service fees, IMI started Japan’s first rental services for therapeutic devices in 1994. In addition to reducing risks in terms of safety management and finance, our rental services include maintenance and staff education to support medical professionals.
Since our founding, we have implemented re-creation initiatives every ten years. During the initiatives, we reflect on whether we are following our corporate philosophy. And we envision ourselves to fulfill this philosophy and strive to realize the following vision.

The world may be transforming drastically, but the wish to stay healthy always remains the same. To provide eternal value that fulfills the wish, IMI continues to re-create ourselves. In 2018, we joined the Taiyo Nippon Sanso Group and enhanced our product portfolio, including sleep monitoring devices, and expanded the business domain into home care. Towards 2030, we foresee significant changes in society and the medical scene. Capturing such trends, we aspire to take steady steps forward as a service platform.
